Greg Kelly: MSNBC, CNN Failed Viewers By Refusing to Air Trump’s Victory Speech

Both CNN and MSNBC continue to take heat for failing to air former President Donald Trump’s speech after winning the Iowa Caucus Monday. 77WABC host Greg Kelly said he was relying on cable news as a viewer to see the speech, and was failed by the networks.

During The Greg Kelly Show Wednesday, the New York host said he was interested in viewing the speech but was surprised to later learn that the networks refused to air the comments made by Trump.

“There’s one night really where you just kind of give up on the media criticism, right? I mean, you just savor the victory. You enjoy it, and you laugh at the media for being so wrong about everything,” Kelly began. “And in my rush to kind of take it all in, I wanted to see the Trump’s speech. So I went immediately to where I could see it. I don’t watch CNN. I don’t watch MSNBC. You know, I find a place that doesn’t play games that I basically trust and I watched the speech.”

Kelly continued by noting his perceived hypocrisy of the networks, who build entire content strategies around Donald Trump, but then refuse to air his comments live.

“But my God, what the fake news did. Did you know they talk about Trump? Night and day, night and day, that’s what they live for. They live for criticizing him,” said Kelly. “Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump all day long.”

He then went through the cable news channels on the in-studio television and mentioned whether or not the outlets were discussing Trump at that moment in time. Both CNN and MSNBC had Trump topics on at that moment.
