In reacting to Stephen A. Smith’s podcast about Jason Whitlock, Dan Le Batard said that Whitlock “had been slaughtering” people in the media he cared about for a while. Whitlock was glad Dan recognized it.
Jason Whitlock addressed several reactions from across sports media on Friday’s edition of Fearless on BlazeTV, including the comments from Le Batard. Whitlock said his “slaughtering” of other sports media members goes back to when he and Le Batard were still friends.
“I like the honesty of that, because I have been slaughtering people in the media for years,” Whitlock said. “And Dan can testify.”
“Dan if you want to testify to that, please go ahead,” he added.
Whitlock said Le Batard kept trying to evaluate him as it related to what happened in their friendship. In Whitlock’s eyes, Dan needs to do some self-reflecting.
“What Dan seems incapable of, at least from a distance cause again, just like he said we haven’t talked in years,” he said. “Does he ever evaluate himself? Or does he put himself on a pedestal and he’s perfect, and he’s done nothing wrong? And that seems very important to him to convince himself that he’s perfect. He’s been the perfect friend, he’s done nothing wrong, and Jason Whitlock’s just this terrible person because I sat and giggled as Stugotz sat and lied about Colin Cowherd and Jason Whitlock.”
“I’m not gonna get into it and argue it all over air, but Dan if you get this clip or one of your minions gives it to you, there’s a mirror that we all have. I stand in front of it every day. I come on this show and talk about the mistakes that I’ve made constantly,” he added.
