Political Ad Revenue Growing on Backs of Budding Senate Campaigns

2024 was always going to be a strong year for political advertising with a contentious Presidential election on the horizon. However, with burgeoning Senate campaigns joining the fray, ad spending continues to grow.

AdImpact reports $88 million will be spent in Nevada and Montana for Senate races open in those states, according to Inside Radio.

A political action committee spent $35 million in Nevada in an effort to hold onto Sen. Jacky Rosen’s (D-NV) seat, while another $26 million was spent in Montana supporting Sen. John Tester (D-MT).

Democrats aren’t the only side of the political aisle spending. A Republican group spent $22 million in Montana in hopes of beating Tester.

AdImpact reports $104.2 million has been spent to support Democrats in Senate races thus far, with $77.4 million being spent on Republican candidates in those battleground states.
