Joe Rogan recently inked an extension to keep his popular podcast with Spotify. He’s now singing the company’s praises after the two sides agreed to increased distribution on additional platforms.
As part of his new deal, which will pay The Joe Rogan Experience host upwards of $250 million, the podcast will now be available on other platforms instead of just strictly appearing on the Spotify app.
After the show returned to Apple Podcasts for the first time since 2020, Rogan applauded the move by the company in a post to X.
The podcast is now officially back on (Apple Podcasts). We should be back on (YouTube) with full episodes in the coming weeks,” wrote Rogan. “Shoutout to (Spotify) for absolutely being the coolest and smartest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of being in partnership with. I’m very excited the podcast will now have a much broader distribution.”
More than 2,000 of Rogan’s past episodes have been reuploaded to Apple Podcasts. However, 111 of his programs have been omitted due to controversial subject matter or guests.
