Alliance for Women in Media to Discuss ‘The Business of Multiplatform Sports’ at NAB Show

The Alliance for Women in Media has announced the topic of their panel discussion for their annual breakfast which will take place the the National Association of Broadcasters’ NAB Show 2024 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The panel, titled ‘The Business of Multiplatform Sports’ will take place on Monday, April 15.

In a note to its members online, this is how the AWM described what the conversation will include:

“Amazon launches Thursday Night Football. Women have a hockey league and a broadcast contract. And Caitlin Clark is driving more viewing for women’s NCAA basketball than ever expected. (Check out the CPMs!) Today’s business of sports media is multi-billion dollar one with everyone vying for control of the consumer–and wondering how to claim certain territory. Join AWM for a candid conversation around the business of sports–and the pivotal role that women play it in future.”

The event features breakfast and networking with executives from television, radio, technology and service partners.

The Alliance for Women in Media was formed in 1951, originally as American Women in Radio and Television, the women’s division of the National Association of Broadcasters.
