MSNBC morning host Joe Scarborough made an impassioned speech defending President Joe Biden earlier this week, calling the 81-year-old leader “the best Biden ever”. 1210 WPHT afternoon host Rich Zeoli wonders if Scarborough is being truthful.
While discussing the current President on Morning Joe, Scarborough shared his belief that the President is as great as he’s ever been, while detractors argue he is not mentally competent for office.
“I’m about to tell you the truth. And eff you if you can’t handle the truth, this version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever,” said Scarborough. “Not a close second and I’ve known him for years.”
In response, Zeoli questioned the authenticity of Scarborough’s claims.
“Joe Scarborough went full on North Korea state TV today defending Joe Biden, even dropping the F-bomb. I mean, the sheer passion in his voice as he comes out and just tries to make everybody believe what he’s saying here,” The Rich Zeoli Show host said. “There’s no way he can believe this, right? This is something he had to say in his contract or something. They made him say this.
Zeoli then likened the comments made by the MSNBC host to a situation in his profession.
“I gotta promote the stupid Audacy app. Like, I have to do that. The dumb app, I have to say that, in my contract. Is it like Daddy Scarborough has to come out and he’s got to say this about Joe Biden? Because this sounds like something that he was required to read,” Zeoli quipped. “Like maybe they were holding his children hostage or something. I don’t know. But he can’t possibly believe this.”
