The conservative podcast space has been a popular one, with several shows ranking in the top 10 of all podcasts. Matt Walsh and Megyn Kelly are rising up the list.
According to statistics provided by Castbox and TheRighting, both programs from the conservative voices saw steady gains in 2023.
The Matt Walsh Show — which is distributed by The Daily Wire — saw a nearly 50% increase in total subscribers in 2023.
“While The Matt Walsh Show is enjoying hockey stick year-over-year growth, his quarter-to-quarter increases are slowing dramatically, and I anticipate that we’ll see much softer growth by the middle of 2024,” said TheRighting President Howard Polskin, according to Inside Radio. “But Mr. Walsh will still remain a force and a strong voice in right-wing podcasting.”
Additionally, SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Show saw a rise of almost 33% in listeners.
Another podcast from The Daily Wire — The Ben Shapiro Show — also saw a rise in downloads, with an 11% uptick in the fourth quarter.
