ESPN and Omaha Productions have agreed to a nine-year, multi-platform rights extension that will continue its work into 2034. As part of the deal, Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli will continue, which recently attained an average of 1.24 million viewers over its nine-game slate. The series, which has been on the air for the last three seasons, features former NFL quarterbacks and Super Bowl champions Peyton and Eli Manning who break down the game and welcome several special guests. The series won the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Series in 2022, and Peyton Manning won the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Personality/Sports Event Analyst in 2023.
Both ESPN and Omaha Productions originally reached a three-year deal in 2021 and announced an extension in 2022, during which they have partnered on various projects. The two entities will continue working together on original content creation during the long-term extension. Omaha Productions produces original podcasts within ESPN’s audio library, including This is Football with Kevin Clark, Lead By Example with Bob Myers and Moxie Bets with Katie Mox.
ESPN and The Walt Disney Company are currently in an 11-year media rights contract with the National Football League that includes the ability to broadcast Monday Night Football games, a Week 18 Saturday doubleheader, Monday night Super Wild Card game and divisional playoff round game. ESPN will broadcast Super Bowl LXI in February 2027 from Los Angeles, Calif. and Super Bowl LXV in February 2031 in a city to be determined. This new agreement with Omaha Productions extends into 2034, and will also continue Omaha Productions content including Peyton’s Places and Eli’s Places.
