Simpson, who starred for USC and won the Heisman Trophy in 1968, went on to be a No. 1 draft pick in the NFL and made six Pro Bowls. He was named league MVP in 1973.

In addition to acting, Simpson also spent time in the broadcast booth. He was part of the Monday Night Football lineup for ABC Sports from 1983-1985 and worked with Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford and Joe Namath. He also spent time with NBC and worked on The NFL on NBC team.

Though Simpson was not found guilty of the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, he was found liable in a civil suit brought by the victims’ families.

  1. I’m sorry but the fact that he got to die at home surrounded by his family especially the children of the woman he killed is not fair when you consider the way his ex wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman died at his hands. She was almost decapitated and Mr Goldman was as innocent a victim as they come. He was just being a good Samaritan by returning her sunglasses which she had left at a restaurant and walked in on her horrific murder and became a victim of OJ’s terrible jealousy and rage. I feel absolutely no sympathy for OJ and I think that he got to spend way too much time on this earth with the children of the woman he murdered and I honestly hope that his last days on earth were as painful and horrible as possible.
