CNN host Wolf Blitzer continually pressed former national security advisor John Bolton about a flag hung outside Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s house during a Wednesday interview. Nationally syndicated radio host and Fox News weekend host Mark Levin was not impressed by the interaction.
Bolton continually told Blitzer he thought the entire controversy surrounding Alito was “outrageous and unacceptable,” arguing that January 6th protestors didn’t have the ability to “expropriate” any flag or symbolism to their cause.
During the interview, Bolton grew increasingly animated, which led Mark Levin to take to social media to share his displeasure with the CNN host.
“Wolf Blitzer is such a nothing who is under water in the tank for the Democrats,” he wrote. “He has no self-awareness that he is an embarrassment to true journalism. A pathetic buffoon.”
Blitzer has been a staple at CNN, where he has worked for more than 30 years. He has hosted The Situation Room on the cable news outlet for 18 years.
