According to Nielsen, the Boston Celtics’ win over the Indiana Pacers on May 27 was the most-watched Game 4 in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals in six years, since 2018. The game had an average of 6,628,000 viewers between ESPN and ESPN2, which is a one percent increase from last year’s ECF Game 4.
The Game 4 broadcast peaked with 8,003,000 viewers at 10:15 p.m. ET. ESPN’s Game 4 coverage won the night across television in all key demos.
The Celtics swept the series by winning the game 105-102 and now will be off as they await the start of the NBA Finals.
Overall, the four-game series bested the 2019, 2020 and 2021 Eastern Conference Finals, which were all six-game series.
The NBA Finals will begin on Thursday, June 6 and will air on ABC. The Celtics will host the Dallas Mavericks or the Minnesota Timberwolves. Currently the Mavericks lead that best-of- seven series 3-1.
