SiriusXM Opens New Studio at Wynn Las Vegas

SiriusXM is opening a new, state-of-the-art broadcast studio at Wynn Las Vegas that will include a rotation of several programs across various genres. Seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter John Mayer will host a live broadcast on his SiriusXM channel No. 14, “Life with John Mayer,” to commemorate the opening of the new studio. Blue Wire Podcasts previously utilized the studio space, which ended its three-year partnership with Wynn Resorts earlier in the year.

The studio space will join SiriusXM broadcast facilities located across the country, including New York City, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Miami and Nashville. The new deal with Wynn Las Vegas continues SiriusXM’s studio expansion across North America. Jason Barrett, founder and president of Barrett Media, broke the news of SiriusXM moving into the studio space earlier in the year.

“Las Vegas is a city at the center of the zeitgeist, with major artists, personalities and sports superstars around every corner – just like you’d see in our SiriusXM studios, and we’re very excited to be opening our new SiriusXM studio in the world class Wynn Las Vegas, right on the Las Vegas Strip,” Scott Greenstein, president and chief content officer of SiriusXM, said in a statement. “Finding a home inside Wynn Las Vegas and putting our state-of-the-art broadcast facility right on the Las Vegas Strip was a perfect match, and we look forward to bringing listeners across the nation right into the action 365 days a year.”

“Our collaboration with SiriusXM complements our entertainment offering,” Brian Gullbrants, chief operating officer – North America, of Wynn Resorts, said in a statement. “The diverse programming and fresh roster of talent visiting the studio will offer listeners from afar a glimpse of the excitement that can only be found at Wynn.”

The studio will house regular programming, including a new series hosted by hip-hop artist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Flavor Flav. Additional personalities broadcasting from the studio space regularly include Mad Dog Sports Radio host JT the Brick, along with music channel hosts Shannon Gunz and Eddie Trunk.
