CNBC contributor Ben White has died after a brief illness, according to a social media post purported to be made by his romantic partner.
“This is Ben’s partner, Sara. I’m heartbroken to tell you that Ben died on Saturday, June 1 after a brief illness,” the post read. “He loved his family, being a journalist, rooting for the Yankees and the Commanders and so much more. He’ll forever be in my heart and will be missed by so many.”
White began his career at The Washington Post in 1997 before joining The New York Times.
In 2013, Ben White joined CNBC as a regular contributor while simultaneously working as the Chief Economic Correspondent for Politico.
