Audacy Podcasts, WNBA Announce Second Season of ‘Queens of the Court’ Podcast

Audacy Podcasts, in partnership with the WNBA, has announced that the Queens of the Court podcast will be returning for its second season. The program is co-hosted by three-time WNBA most valuable player and four-time league champion Sheryl Swoopes and women’s sports journalist Jordan Ligons Robinson. New episodes of the show are available across a variety of platforms and released weekly on Tuesdays through the Audacy app and everywhere podcasts are available. Swoopes and Robinson discuss key storylines within the WNBA with accompanying insider access, delving into news and pertinent topics both on and off the court.

The podcast also implements in-depth interviews with notable luminaries around the league, granting listeners additional, esoteric perspectives on topics. Guests on the show include WNBPA president Nneka Ogwumike, ESPN basketball analyst Monica McNutt and Connecticut Sun all-star forward Alyssa Thomas. Audacy’s 2400Sports podcast studio partnered with the WNBA last April to launch the podcast. The 2400Sports and Cadence13 podcast studios have since merged to form the Audacy Podcasts conglomerate, which preceded the creation of the Audacy Sports division last April.

“The WNBA is pleased to collaborate with Audacy for a second consecutive season of ‘Queens of the Court,’” Colie Edison, WNBA chief growth officer, said in a statement. “This is yet another sign of the growing interest around the W, and our fans are deeply engaged with Jordan and Sheryl and their hot takes on all things WNBA. This podcast supports our strategic efforts to expand the coverage and conversation around the league.”

Audacy was named the No. 1 sports podcast network by Triton this past February, possessing 600 titles in its portfolio. The company notes that it has three times more sports podcasts than any competitor and is also the industry’s largest provider of sports content. Additionally, the WNBA has attained viewership records throughout the early stages of the 2024 season across several networks.

“With excitement around the WNBA at an all-time high, we’re thrilled to continue partnering with Sheryl, Jordan, and the league to bring fans their engaging and informative weekly look at women’s basketball,” Leah Reis-Dennis, vice president, podcast content strategy and business development at Audacy Podcasts, said in a statement. “‘Queens of the Court’ is a dynamic part of our thriving Audacy Sports portfolio.”
