Candace Owens is pushing back against criticism lobbied against her by Bari Weiss after the conservative commentator shared her belief that America shouldn’t have gotten involved in World War II.
On her YouTube program Monday, Owens shared excerpts from a recent newsletter published by Weiss. Owens argued that Weiss made her wife — Nellie Bowles –pen a story trashing the former Daily Wire host for her stances. In response, Owens called the pair “dishonest,” “clowns,” and said Bari Weiss was “triggered” by her thoughts.
“How hysterical does that even sound? Is that even a newsletter? Who is actually subscribing to that? Who is like ‘I really feel like reading the rantings of an emotional lesbian couple’? Because that’s what it sounds like to me,” said Owens.
“I didn’t want to share the whole newsletter because it is Pride Month and I just feel like she is leaning into every stereotype of a lesbian and I don’t agree with it. I don’t agree with what Bari is doing by pretending that she is unhinged and irrational.”
Candace Owens added that Bari Weiss was using false pretenses to enlist more newsletter subscribers, mocking Weiss for claiming she departed The New York Times for its biased reporting against conservatives.
