ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos will host the first interview with President Biden since his lackluster performance in last week’s presidential debate. Brian Kilmeade believes it is an important opportunity for the longtime host.
Stephanopoulos scored the first interview with the President and will conduct it on Friday. A portion will air on World News Tonight with David Muir on Friday evening. The interview will then air on Stephanopoulos’ This Week program Sunday morning, with an additional portion airing on Good Morning America on Monday, July 8th.
In a post to social media, Fox News host and nationally syndicated radio host Brian Kilmeade shared his opinion that George Stephanopoulos may have an ulterior motive at play in conducting the interview.
“Watch George go for Biden knockout to save his reputation!,” Kilmeade wrote as he shared a story of former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley mocking the ABC News host for dismissing her statements that the President was in cognitive decline.
Haley made the claims last August in an interview on Good Morning America. She added that there was “no way” Biden would finish his first term. In response, Stephanopoulos said “How do you know Joe Biden’s not gonna finish his term? What is that based on?”
Haley mocked the host this week by asking “Believe me now, George?”
