After 31 years of hosting sports talk radio, 94WIP host Glen Macnow called it a career after broadcasting his final show on the station last weekend. Now we know who will replace him on Saturdays. Audacy and 94WIP announced Rob Ellis as the new co-host with Mike Sielski on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET.
“Can’t thank everyone enough for all the kind words,” Ellis posted on his X account. “I have big shoes to fill stepping in for Glen Macnow and what he has built on Saturdays. There’s no one I respect more as a person & pro than Mike Sielski and I cannot wait to get started this Saturday at 10a.”
Macnow also responded to the news on social media saying, “I’m delighted for Rob Ellis and look forward to listening to him and Mike Sielski from the comfort of my beach chair.”
Ellis was filling in for Joe DeCamara on the 94WIP Morning Show and made the announcement as Sielski called in to join.
“It’s going to be terrific,” Sielski said. “We very much wanted to keep the tone and the content and the humor that Glen and obviously Ray Didinger brought to the show over time…Most importantly, I think it’s going to put to bed the idea that Rob and I are the same person.”
Ellis is a 20-year television veteran who was with WIP from 2007-2015 and later returned in 2018. Ellis has hosted afternoons, evenings and been a part of various pre- and post-game shows on the station.
