Bill Bowen, former KPLX (99.5 The Wolf)/Dallas night host, has passed away.
Bowen joined “The Wolf” in 2011 before stepping away in 2021 to undergo chemotherapy. He entered hospice in April when he announced that “Chemo isn’t working anymore. Liver is 60 percent cancer.”
His son, Michael, announced on Facebook, “Hi everyone. This is Bill’s son, Michael Phillips. Earlier this morning, Bill passed away peacefully, with his family at his bedside, holding his hands. We are processing a lot of emotions right now and will have more updates coming in the final days. Thank you to all who have reached out these past few months. We made sure he got every note of encouragement and it helped to lift his spirit.
