Since 2017, NFL fans have been able to tune in to SiriusXM’s NFL Radio and hear longtime football coach Charlie Weis give his insights and opinions. According to his social media post this morning, that time has come to an end as Weis announced he is no longer a part of the ‘Airing it Out’ show with Bob Papa.
“For those of you expecting to hear me this morning on “Airing it Out”, the powers to be have decided to go in another direction,” Weis posted on his X account. “I have enjoyed talking ball with you and will miss being on the team. Thanks!”
Weis started on the SiriusXM NFL Radio show on November 10, 2017. At that time the show was hosted by Bruce Murray.
Weis is perhaps best known as the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots under Bill Belichick from 2000-2004. He then went on to become the head coach at Notre Dame from 2005-2009. He also spent two seasons as the head coach at Kansas. His son, Charlie Weiss Jr. is the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Ole Miss under Lane Kiffin.
