Former 95.5 WSB program director Pete Spriggs will be one of several inductees into the Legends of Georgia Radio Hall of Fame in its 2024 class.
Springs began his career with the Atlanta news/talk station in 2000 before ultimately retiring in February 2020.
During his career leading the station, he oversaw the addition of the FM signal for the brand. While serving as the Program Director of the Cox Media Group station, 95.5 WSB won several Marconi Awards, including the Major Market Station of the Year Award in 2018.
“It’s really great to be recognized with so many fantastic broadcasters,” Spriggs said of the honor. “It was a blessing to have Cox Radio hand me the keys to work beside such great talent. We all accomplished some great things together.”
Before joining 95.5 WSB, Pete Spriggs also worked at WHIO Radio in Dayton, and WDBO in Orlando, both Cox Media Group stations.
The Legends of Georgia Radio Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 24th at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center. Joining Spriggs in the Class of 2024 are Howard Toole, Steve Craig, Bobby Ellerbee, Bob Helbush, Brady McGraw, and Wendy Williams.
