ESPN college football and Prime Video NFL Football analyst Kirk Herbstreit is adding more content to his plate, but this project appears to be more fun than work. Herbstreit and his golden retriever, Ben, who has become an internet and television sensation in recent years, will team up for a new show called, ‘Walks with Ben.’
“Ben and I are doing something new this fall!” Herbstreit posted on X. “We’re calling it, ‘Walks with Ben.’ Ben and I will take a walk each week with a special guest. During the season we get a chance to be around so many interesting people in the football world- we thought it would be fun to invite some of them to come hang with Ben and I for a short walk. New episodes are coming this fall once the football season gets rolling. Hope you can take a break from Dynasty Mode in NCAA25 and check ’em out!”
Ben traveled with Herbstreit last football season and if you follow his social media accounts, you’d see many photos of the dog traveling to and from games, on the field and in the broadcast booth.
In the video explaining ‘Walks with Ben,’ Herbstreit refers to Ben as ‘The Chief Happiness Officer of Football.’
Ben is a certified emotional support animal for Herbstreit. He got his ESA license and red vest late last year which allows him to join Herbstreit in more places, including many hotels that would not typically permit pets.
