Mid-West Family Broadcasting’s Country WQLQ-HD3 (96.1 The Ton)/Benton Harbor, MI, has flipped to a Sports 960 WSBT/South Bend simulcast.
WQLQ has failed to make any progress in the format compared to Federated Media’s WBYT (B100), which trailed 7.2 to 0.9 in the Fall Nielsen ratings.
WSBT is a Fox Sports Network and Infinity Sports Network affiliate. Darin Pritchett hosts a local show from 5 to 7 p.m. focusing on Notre Dame Football. Additionally, they carry Notre Dame football, basketball, and South Bend Cubs baseball.
The station’s website carries the following message, “96.1 The Ton is no longer broadcasting. We want to thank all the listeners for your support, we had a TON of fun. Though, the fun will continue with great country music at 97.5 Y Country
