Landry Locker, who stepped away from SportsRadio 610 in Houston in June, will be filling in on The Ticket in Dallas next week. Locker made the announcement via his Facebook account.
“HUGE honor for me next week,” Locker wrote. “I’ll be hosting at The Ticket in DFW, the standard for Sports Radio, Monday-Friday (8/12-8/16) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on The Invasion.”
Locker, who hosts daily content on his YouTube show, The Locker Room with Landry Locker, talked about the history of the radio station and the success it has had in its 30-year history.
He then added, “There’s a lot of BS in this business, but The Ticket has maintained excellence for decades. I’m going to enjoy this, give the effort I always give and mark it off The Bucket List.
“No plans to do radio full-time anytime soon, PUMPED to be covering the Texans home in Houston and dominating the digital, but it’s going to be awesome to play on an elite team like this for a legendary PD like [Jeff Catlin]. Really excited. Won’t disappoint.”
Locker moved to Houston at the end of 2016 after having been with The Fan in Cleveland briefly as the Executive Producer of The Ken Carman Show. Prior to that he had been with ESPN Radio in Dallas.
