In May of this year, after nearly ten years with 104.5 The Zone in Nashville, host Mickey Ryan announced he was leaving to pursue other career opportunities. Ryan had been hosting mid-afternoons with former Tennessee Titans player Blaine Bishop. Now, Ryan has announced what that new career opportunity is. Ryan announced on social media that he is the new Executive Director of Advancement, Athletics & Director of National Bison Club for Lipscomb University in Nashville.
“Life update: I’m so excited to announce my new career opportunity! I’ve joined the team at Lipscomb University and the Lipscomb Bison as Executive Director of Advancement, Athletics & Director of National Bison Club. I look forward to supporting a fantastic group of athletes, coaches & staff!”
Ryan is also a musician and songwriter and was previously an associate director of athletics at Arkansas State University.
When he announced his departure from the radio station, Ryan had said, “While an offer was extended and wishes expressed for me to stay, I have prayerfully made the decision to seek out my next opportunity, whatever that may be. I’m truly not sure what is next, but I know God is with me and will lead me to the right thing. I love and appreciate all of you.”
