MSNBC has announced its coverage plans for the Democratic National Convention, which includes Joe Scarborough, Andrea Mitchell, Joy Reid, and Alex Wagner all going to Chicago.
Joe Scarborough will host Morning Joe alongside Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist from the Windy City at its usual 6 AM ET start time. Andrea Mitchell will also be in Chicago for the network for her noon show, as will Chris Jansing for the 1 PM ET program.
Later in the day, Joy Reid will anchor live coverage at 6 PM ET alongside Ari Melber with Alex Wagner providing commentary and special coverage from the convention floor at the United Center.
Rachel Maddow will anchor the network’s primetime coverage beginning at 8 PM ET. Melber, Chris Hayes, Lawrence O’Donnell, Stephanie Ruhle, and Jen Psaki will all contribute during the timeslot with Psaki closing daily coverage for MSNBC at midnight each evening. Additionally, Joy Reid and Alex Wagner will also provide analysis and commentary from the Illinois city throughout the primetime window.
The network will also host another installment of its MSNBC Live event series as Luke Russert and Symone Sanders Townsend will host special guests like Stacey Abrams and Eric Holder, among others.
