After moving to 1110 KFAB last year after working as a producer at 1040 WHO, Emery Songer is returning to host late mornings on the Iowa news/talk station. He’ll also be heard on 600 WMT.
Songer will host Emery on Iowa from 9-11 AM on both 1040 WHO in Des Moines and 600 WMT in Cedar Rapids. Those two stations, along with 1110 KFAB, are owned by iHeartMedia.
The timeslot was previously hosted by Jeff Angelo, who moved to mornings on WHO Radio in June of this year.
Songer joined 1110 KFAB in Omaha in June of last year after spending the previous five years working as a producer at both 1040 and sister sports station 1460 KXNO in Des Moines.
“I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to connect with Iowans all over the state and beyond,” said Songer. “I can’t wait to continue the rich heritage of these legendary radio stations and to celebrate the next chapter of WHO and WMT!”
