WWPR (Power 105.1)/New York has announced the return of the sixth annual Angela Yee Day. The event, hosted by Angela Yee of the nationally syndicated midday show “Way Up with Angela Yee,” will take place on Sunday, September 1, from 12 to 5 pm (ET) at the Barclays Center Ticketmaster Plaza in Brooklyn, NY.
This year’s celebration will feature high-energy performances by a lineup of talented artists. Dancehall sensation Teejay, known for his hit single “Drift,” will take the stage alongside Malie Donn, LAILA!, Breezylyn, Pressure Busspipe, Jay Swiishes, and IKaya.
Additional artists are expected to be announced.
Angela Yee Day, established in 2018 when former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio honored Yee for her community work, has become a prominent annual event in the city. Now in its sixth year, the celebration marks the start of Labor Day weekend, which features the popular West Indian Day Parade and other festivities showcasing Caribbean culture and pride.
