1010 WINS Reporter Kelly Dillon Details Attack Suffered in Manhattan

1010 WINS reporter Kelly Dillon is recovering after being the victim of what appears to be a random attack by a man in Manhattan while leaving the Audacy New York all-news station.

In a more than 20-minute TikTok she published Saturday, Dillon shared that after filing her final report last week, she left the station and was later attacked by a random man.

“The area is quite desolate at night. It’s a quiet neighborhood,” she stated. “I’m always on guard walking through the city as a young female alone.”

The 1010 WINS news and traffic reporter then detailed the injuries she suffered after the attack.

“I can’t move my arm. At this point, it’s still healing. That’s quite painful,” Dillon said. “And just obviously, the whole body is in a tremendous level of pain from the body slam, hitting the pavement, and just the trauma of the whole situation.”

Kelly Dillon then took aim at the lack of coverage of the random attacks happening against women in the Big Apple, saying both the city and the media are “absolutely trying to downplay this.”

“It cannot be downplayed. The streets are not safe for women or, honestly for anybody right now. But in particular, females,” she added. “This felt very deliberate and planned.”

According to the New York Post, the NYPD has claimed that no one has been arrested in regard to the attack on Dillon, and the “investigation remains on going.”
