106.5 The Boro’s Johnathan Vreeland Dies In Car Accident

Vreeland, 24, had only been full-time with the station for one week and was a passenger in a vehicle with a co-worker returning from covering a high school football game.

Johnathan Vreeland, on-air host at Foundry Broadcasting’s Country WMCD (106.5 The Boro)/Rocky Ford GA, has died from injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle crash this past Friday night.

The station’s Facebook page reads, “It is with a heavy heart that we post this. We unfortunately lost Jonathan last night. We ask that everyone bear with us during this time of difficulty. Today is a good day to hug your loved ones.”

Georgia State Patrol said the car he was riding in was struck head-on by a car driving in the wrong lane.
