NFL Media has announced its programming lineup ahead of the new football season, featuring a variety of shows conveying the latest news, analysis and opinions across the NFL. The weekly compilation of shows on NFL Network leads off with the new edition of Good Morning Football emanating live from Los Angeles featuring hosts Jamie Erdahl, Peter Schrager, Kyle Brandt, Akbar Gbajabiamila and Sherree Burruss. In addition to the two-hour morning show airing on NFL Network, the program also broadcasts a two-hour series, titled GMFB: Overtime, for free on The Roku Channel from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST. This show will air in syndication across several local stations beginning on Monday, Sept. 2.
Joining both iterations of the morning program regularly is an array of new NFL Network talent, including former Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera. Following a 13-year career leading his team on the sidelines, Rivera will share his insights and expertise on NFL Network and make appearances on the morning show. Manti Te’o, an eight-year NFL veteran linebacker and Heisman Trophy finalist at the University of Notre Dame, has also officially been announced as a new talent at the network after he made his debut on Good Morning Football earlier in the month.
Former NFL wide receiver Isaiah Stanback will also take part in episodes of the show following a six-year playing career and four seasons at the University of Washington, NFL Media announced on Thursday. Nate Tice is joining NFL Network and will appear across several shows, bringing analysis of trends, statistics and data. Tice, a former quarterback at the University of Washington and assistant coach for the Oakland Raiders, joined Yahoo Sports full time in May, and he will continue his responsibilities with the company as a writer and podcast host. Earlier in the year, NFL Network engaged in cost-cutting measures that resulted in the departures of Melissa Stark, Andrew Siciliano, James Palmer and Will Selva.
Ian Rapoport, Mike Garafolo, Tom Pelissero and Juy Battista continue on their second season of The Insiders, which airs Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. EST on NFL Network.
