For the third consecutive year, Chicago’s WLS and WCFL’s music years will be broadcast again on Labor Day weekend.
The “Third Annual WLS/WCFL Rewound” features Larry Lujack, John Records Landecker, Fred Winston, Bob Sirott, Chuck Buell, Kris Erik Stevens, Chuck Knapp, Bob Dearborn, and many more.
This year’s show heard exclusively on RewoundRadio.com, will feature airchecks not previously heard, as well as episodes of “Animal Stories” and “Chickenman.”
The WLS music montage, highlighting music from 1955 to 1978, will air at 11 a.m. (CT) on Labor Day following the countdown of the Top 16 Hits of 1978.
The “Third Annual WLS/WCFL Rewound” kicks off Saturday morning, August 31st, at 5 am CT.
This year marks a momentous occasion as WLS celebrates its 100th anniversary, having first gone on the air in 1924. Additionally, WCFL is being inducted into the Illinois Rock and Roll Museum Radio Station Hall of Fame on October 20th in Joliet.
Tune in here.
