FOX Sports Radio, a division of Premiere Sports Network, and BetMGM have announced a renewed multiyear deal that will expand their programming partnership. As part of the agreement, the third season of the Countdown to Kickoff program presented by BetMGM will extend beyond the football season and render itself as a year-round program for the first time. Both three-hour weekend programs will be broadcasting live on Saturdays and Sundays leading up to game time in college football and the National Football League, airing on more than 400 affiliate stations across the country.
The Saturday program will air from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST and lead into the slate of college football games for the day. The show will be hosted by FOX Sports Radio weekend personality Brian Loe, and he will be joined by former Penn State left guard and All-American Rich Ohrnberger and betting analyst Jared Smith. Sunday editions of the show will also include Noe with eight-year NFL veteran Geoff Schwartz and professional sports bettor Bill “Krack” Krackomberger. Across both programs, the on-air personalities will provide insights, betting tips and entertaining discussion for football fans regardless if they place bets.
“As the world of sports betting continues to grow, we’re excited to expand this landmark partnership with BetMGM,” Don Martin, executive vice president of programming for iHeartMedia Sports, and Scott Shapiro, senior vice president of sports programming at FOX Sports Radio, said in a statement. “We experienced incredible success the last two seasons with ‘Countdown to Kickoff,’ so it made all the sense in the world to give our audience more of what they want – the best in-depth, entertaining and informative preview of the weekend in games.”
The programs air on radio stations nationwide and will also stream live through FOX Sports Radio’s channel on iHeartRadio and the FOX Sports Radio website. Both editions of the show will preview the biggest games, provide injury updates and include insights into betting metrics ahead of game time. The Saturday version of the show will broadcast live from the ‘Countdown to Kickoff’ party from BetMGM in partnership with FOX Sports Radio at The Wharf in Washington, D.C.
