‘The Big 615’s’ Storme Warren Awarded Charlie Daniels Patriot Award

Annually, the organization honors individuals and groups whose work embodies its mission of aiding veterans in their return, rehabilitation, and reintegration into civilian life.

Storme Warren, morning host of Garth Brooks’ streaming Country station “The BIG 615,” received the prestigious Charlie Daniels Patriot Award from The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project.

On September 11th, Warren was honored at the nonprofit’s annual awards dinner for his impactful work supporting veteran causes. Over the course of his career, Warren’s charitable initiatives, including his involvement with The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project, Operation Song, and ACM Lifting Lives, have collectively raised close to $50 million.

Country music icon Charlie Daniels and his longtime manager David Corlew co-founded the Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project to support veterans and their families. Annually, the organization honors individuals and groups whose work embodies its mission of aiding veterans in their return, rehabilitation, and reintegration into civilian life.

Brooks said, “I think the one thing we all need now more than ever is hope. And hope only comes from watching those around us. Storme is constantly that guy…that guy who is there for you when you need someone the most. It makes perfect sense to honor Storme for all he does for our military, past, present, and future. Congrats Storme.”

Daniels played a pivotal role in advancing Warren’s career, encouraging him to relocate from Los Angeles to Nashville in order to pursue Country music. Daniels even provided a personal reference that helped Warren secure his first job in Nashville, working on “Today’s Country” aired on The Nashville Network.

Warren was recently awarded the Country Radio Broadcasters‘ prestigious Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award. This award honors individuals in the Country radio industry who exhibit exceptional generosity and compassion in serving their community.
