For many news media pundits, cable news is the pinnacle of media. But 77 WABC morning host Sid Rosenberg doesn’t agree.
While conversing with colleague Curtis Sliwa on Wednesday, Rosenberg shared that he was on the syndicated TV show Inside Edition with Deborah Norville to discuss the lack of production from Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and how his relationship with Taylor Swift might be a factor in his decline.
Sid Rosenberg then added that the allure of being on TV, or hosting a cable news show, would never topped by his desire to work in local radio.
“I just learned that one of our good sales guys, he left and he went to work with Newsmax,” said Rosenberg. “Nine people watch Newsmax. I got nothing against those guys, but nine people watch it. 9 million will listen to us. People have this thing with TV all the time. I was just on Fox News last week. I do it all the time. It doesn’t compare this.”
Sliwa quickly agreed, noting that, like Rosenberg, he had worked in cable television for a brief time at the SNY regional sports network in New York. The 77 WABC host is a somewhat recurring guest on Fox News, especially on the weekend programs hosted by Brian Kilmeade and Mark Levin.
