Country Radio Seminar (CRS) has opened nominations for the 2025 Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award. This scholarship is presented to an individual within the Country radio industry who embodies the values of kindness, compassion, and a commitment to community service.
The award honors the legacy of Tom Rivers, a respected 17-year broadcast veteran and former CRB board member. At the time of his passing in 2004, at the age of 38, he was the OM of WUSN (US99.5)/Chicago. Rivers’ career has left a lasting impact on the industry.
Previous winners include Tim Leary, Storme Warren, Heather Froglear, Lon Helton, “Dollar” Bill Lawson, Dan Halyburton, Peter Smyth, Jeff Smulyan, Mary Quass, and George G. Beasley.
