Prime Video Averages 17.6 Million Viewers for Cowboys-Giants, An All-Time High for Thursday Night Football

The game peaked at more than 18 million viewers and the company said it registered several new all-time marks across key demographics.

Prime Video made history during the most recent Thursday Night Football broadcast as the Dallas Cowboys’ 20-15 victory over the New York Giants averaged 17.6 million viewers, an all-time high for TNF on Prime. The company said the game was also the most-streamed NFL regular season game in history. Initial data had put the game at 16.2 million average viewers, however the new number is the full Nielsen number (known as the Big Data + Panel measurement).

The game peaked at more than 18 million viewers and the company said it registered several new all-time marks across key demographics.

Through three weeks, the 2024 TNF on Prime season is averaging 16.09 million viewers, 25% above last year’s season average of 1.9M.

The game was an increase of more than 20% over last year’s game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers and marked the third-consecutive TNF game to top 13 million viewers. The Cowboys were also involved in the previous high for TNF against the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 20, 2023, which drew an audience of 15.3 million viewers.
