ESPN Monday Night Football had two staggered games again this week. The two games started at 7:30 p.m. ET and 8:15 p.m. ET and overlapped for two and a half hours between 8:15 p.m. ET and 10:45 p.m. ET
The Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins aired on ESPN/ESPN Deportes, beginning first, followed by the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions on ABC/ESPN+.
ESPN says the game averaged more than 20.3 million viewers during the overlap. This represents a 7% increase over the overlap from the prior week. The audience peaked at 21.4 million from 9 p.m. ET and 9:15 p.m. ET.
The Seattle Seahawks-Detroit Lions game averaged more than 15 million viewers by itself on ABC and ESPN+.
Next week is back to one game for ESPN, with the 2-2 New Orleans Saints playing at the 4-0 Kansas City Chiefs. The week after will be an AFC East battle between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets. The week after that will feature another staggered start doubleheader.
