In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, KS95 Minneapolis-St. Paul partnered with a distribution center near Charlotte to fill a 20-foot U-Haul truck with essential supplies for needy families in the Asheville area.
Within 24 hours, KS95 listeners and sponsors helped pack a truck parked at a Cub Foods lot in Maplewood, Minnesota. On Friday afternoon, Crisco and Wes from the Crisco, Dez, and Wes Morning Show hit the road, returning on Sunday night.
“When we watched in real-time the devastation created by Hurricane Helene in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, we knew we had to do something,” commented morning show co-host Crisco. “As they always do, our listeners and advertising partners stepped up to give. The 18-hour drive was long but definitely worth it.”
