Maxx Crosby Responds to Mike Lombardi’s Comments Made on The Pat McAfee Show About the Las Vegas Raiders

"They get to go on the Pat McAfee Show and talk, talking about what we should do and you haven't even been a GM, you're a GM for one year, so it's embarrassing, you know what I mean?

Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby was back on the field this past weekend after missing a game due to a high ankle sprain. Crosby, who also takes part in a weekly podcast, ‘Let’s Go!’ on SiriusXM, had a couple of sacks in an otherwise mostly forgetful game for the Las Vegas Raiders who fell 34-18 to the Denver Broncos.

After the game, Crosby had some words that appear to be about former NFL executive and regular Pat McAfee Show guest Mike Lombardi. Lombardi had used Crosby not being at the previous game as an example of disconnect within the Raiders organization and between head coach Antonio Pearce and the players. For Crosby, that was the first game he had missed due to injury and with it being a high ankle sprain he didn’t feel it was best for his recovery to stand on the sidelines.

Vegas Sports Today posted a part of Crosby speaking after the game in the locker room. He said, “You know, clowns that are talking online and talking on that Pat McAfee Show saying something’s going on and they’re speaking for me, saying I should be on the sideline when I’ve got a high ankle sprain, you know what I mean?

“These clowns, they’re sitting on the couch talking about what I should be doing, but the reality is I’m gaining yardage and trying to get right until I can get back on the field. Everybody knows my intentions and they try to speak for me when…if you speak to me and you know what’s going on, then we could have a conversation, but don’t speak on my name, you know what I mean, when you don’t know what the hell is going on. These guys know I’ll take a bullet for them, everyone in this locker room.”

Crosby continued and made it clear who he is referencing by mentioning parts of Lombardi’s bio.

“So you got clowns that are online and talking on, you know, they got their one day of the week where they get to go on the Pat McAfee Show and talk, talking about what we should do and you haven’t even been a GM, you’re a GM for one year, so it’s embarrassing, you know what I mean? Don’t speak for me.

“I’m going to speak for my guys and that’s all I care about. So, I really get bothered by that because I take a lot of heat…but don’t speak about me when you don’t know what’s going on and you’re speaking for me, you know what I mean? Or speaking about the organization or that something must be going on with Maxx. Come on, bro. You know where I want to be. You think I want to be anywhere else? No…I don’t want to go anywhere.

“So, at the end of the day, it’s just funny, you got a lot of people that have a lot to say when they really don’t know what’s going on.”
