Glenn Beck and his non-profit organization Mercury One visited Asheville, North Carolina last week to help victims of Hurricane Helene recover.
Mercury One features a fleet of more than 30 helicopters that worked to deliver more than 10 tons of supplies to the area most affected by the damage. The crew also flew a North Carolina woman to the hospital so she could receive care for injuries sustained during the weather event.
The non-profit group has partnered with Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) and the United Cajun Navy to bring baby, personal hygiene, paper towels, and other non-perishable food items to North Carolina in the wake of the hurricane. Glenn Beck is also working with the organization to serve areas in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee in addition to the areas in North Carolina it is currently helping.
“I saw stuff in North Carolina I have never seen before,” Beck said on his nationally syndicated radio show. “I saw houses that had been washed down the river and were upside down on the train tracks … Everything in this place is gonna have to be redone. Everything. I just saw things I didn’t expect to see. The power of the water coming down these creeks then rivers, literally like the power of the Mississippi.”
