FOX Sports Draws Most-Watched LCS Weekday Game Since 2013 for Mets-Dodgers Game 2

On FOX and the FS1 simulcast, the audience was an average of 5.517 million viewers, up 6% from last year's NLCS Game 2 which drew 5.197 million viewers.

After Game 1 of the NLCS between the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers drew the largest LCS opening game television audience since 2009 with an average of 8.5 million, Game 2 also had some significant numbers. With the game being played in the afternoon, the audience dropped to an average of 5.628 million viewers, however, that makes it the most-watched LCS weekday game since 2013.

On FOX and the FS1 simulcast, the audience was an average of 5.517 million viewers, up 6% from last year’s NLCS Game 2 which drew 5.197 million viewers. The broadcast peaked at 7.349 million viewers from 7:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET.

FOX Sports reports that through the first two games, the NLCS is averaging 6.74 million viewers, which makes it the best start for an LCS on any network since 2015. To date, FOX and FS1 are averaging 4.591 million viewers for the 2024 postseason. That figure is 43% higher than last season through the same time. FOX Sports continues their best MLB postseason since the launch of FS1 in 2014.

Game 3 of the series will take place tonight on FS1 with a scheduled start time of 8:08 p.m. ET. Game 4 will take place on Thursday and the NLCS will play after the ALCS game between the Yankees and Guardians which will start at 5:05 p.m. ET. Game 5 on Friday will be in the 5:08 p.m. ET slot.
