"Some of you aren't ever going to listen to me again after this. That's ok. I can deal with that."

Dave Ramsey has endorsed Donald Trump as his choice for President in the 2024 race for the White House. He’s unafraid of any backlash that might come from that decision.

On The Ramsey Show last week, the longtime nationally syndicated radio host revealed he was about to go on vacation ahead of the 2024 election. He felt it was important to reveal who he was voting for ahead of his departure.

Ramsey shared that he does not believe in being a single-issue voter. Rather, he encouraged listeners to make a list of eight to 10 issues that matter to them, research the way the candidates feel on the topic, and decide from there.

“I’m gonna tell you: I’m voting for Donald Trump,” Ramsey said. “Not because I’m voting for Donald Trump, but because I checked those boxes. And more of those are on that side than are on the other side. I’m gonna hold my nose, and I’m gonna vote … I have voted in every single election since I turned 18 years old, presidential election or otherwise. I’ve not missed a single time to cast my vote as an American.

“If you wanna vote the other way, as long as you’re being thoughtful about it and being a nice person, we’re still friends. I’m ok, I’m not mad at you. Some of you aren’t ever going to listen to me again after this. That’s ok. I can deal with that,” continued Ramsey. “That’s happened to me for 30 years. People have threatened me with ‘I’m going to cancel you.’ That’s hard to do. I own the show. You’re not gonna get to cancel me. You can leave, but you can’t cancel me.”

Ramsey’s endorsement of Donald Trump comes after featuring a sit-down interview with the Republican nominee earlier this month. He asserts he extended the same offer to Vice President Kamala Harris, who did not accept the offer.

Dave Ramsey added that it’s important to put voting for a preferred candidate in the proper context, too.

“You’re not voting for a savior,” said Ramsey. “If so, neither one of these would be qualified. What happens in your house is more important to your success than what happens in the White House.”
