After a thrilling comeback win by the Cleveland Guardians in Game 3 of the ALCS against the New York Yankees, it sure felt like the series had a chance to go deep. As it turns out, both Game 4 and Game 5 went to the Yankees on their way to a pennant win, but TNT Sports scored big with viewership.

Game 4 on Friday saw the Yankees score two runs in the 9th inning to win 8-6 and the game drew an average of 5.2 million viewers combined between TBS, truTV and streaming on Max. The game peaked at 6.4 million viewers. The audience was an increase of 42% over the 2023 ALCS Game 4 and was the most watched ALCS Game 4 on TNT Sports platforms since 2018

Game 5 saw the Yankees clinch the series with a 5-2 win in 10 innings. The game drew an average of 5.6 million viewers combined. The peak audience hit 7.3 million viewers. The game was up 33% over the ALCS Game 5 in 2023 and also was the most watched ALCS Game 5 on TNT Sports platforms since 2018.

Overall, the 2024 Postseason is averaging 3.8 million viewers on TNT Sports outlets. That is 9% higher than the average through the same time last season.
