The Joe Rogan Experience featured an episode with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. The link for YouTube mysteriously vanished, and the comedian is explaining that nothing nefarious went on.
The video of Rogan’s conversation with Trump was released Friday evening. However, it then disappeared. Observers claimed that YouTube had removed the episode for disinformation purposes, but Joe Rogan clarified that that was not accurate.
“There is no issue with YouTube censoring the Trump episode,” Rogan wrote. “It was just supposed to go live on both Spotify and YouTube at the same time and there was a glitch in Spotify’s upload system and so we delisted the YouTube link until it’s fixed. It should be fine now.”
After the YouTube link was made public, the more than three-hour conversation between the comedian and Republican nominee garnered north of 33 million views on the platform. Those figures do not include podcast downloads, which Spotify has yet to make available.
The appearance by Donald Trump on The Joe Rogan Experience marked his first time on the popular podcast.
