Mark Strauss, midday host at WAKY Louisville, has passed away at the age of 71. His time in the Louisville market dates back to the 80s
On the station’s website, Strauss wrote his obituary writing, “It pains me to admit it, but apparently I have passed away, and I’m pissed about it,” the earthly signoff of Mark E Strauss, 71, who is now the radio somewhere in the great beyond. “Everyone said it would happen one day, but that’s simply not something I wanted to hear, much less experience. If you want to, look for me in the evening sunset, on a cruise ship, with a Patron margarita in hand. You know I’ll be there in one form or another. This will probably comfort some while antagonizing others, but you know me, it’s what I do. Any questions, sorry too late.”
