Netflix has announced that it already has its cast set for the next season of its popular Starting 5 series. The first season dropped on the streaming service on October 9 and is a 10-part series which features a behind-the-scenes look at the 2023-24 NBA season through the eyes of five of the league’s biggest players. Those players are Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics and Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings.

Season two will be highlighted by Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics, Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns and James Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers. The other two players will be Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers.

The Netflix series is a combined effort between Uninterrupted in association with Higher Ground Productions and Omaha Productions. The star-studded list of Executive Producers includes LeBron James, President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, and Peyton Manning.

Boston.com reports Jayson Tatum was initially offered to either be in the first season or potentially star in the second season, however, he wanted to be in the first season and felt confident about Boston winning a championship, which (spoiler alert) does happen in the first season.
