CNN Announces 2024 Election Coverage Plans Including Kaitlan Collins, Wolf Blitzer, Jake Tapper, and Anderson Cooper

CNN’s Election Night in America coverage will stream live, without requiring a pay TV login, from 7:00 PM-3:00 AM ET on Tuesday, November 5 on CNN-connected TV and mobile apps and on CNN.com. It will also stream live on Max for Max subscribers.

CNN has announced its coverage plans for the 2024 election, with coverage actually beginning with special weekend editions of shows hosted by the likes of Kaitlan Collins, Wolf Blitzer, Jake Tapper, and Anderson Cooper, among others.

The network will host special coverage all day on Sunday in the lead-up to the election. Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, and Erin Burnett will all be featured prominently throughout the day.

On Monday, the network will continue its election preview coverage with special editions of the network’s regular programming dedicated to the race for the White House.

On Tuesday, November 5th, CNN will begin the 2024 election coverage at Midnight with Boris Sanchez, Jessica Dean, and Erica Hall anchoring coverage until 5 AM ET. Kasie Hunt and Omar Jimenez will continue at the Voting Desk until 7 AM. John Berman will anchor Election Day in America from 7-10 AM ET. He’ll be joined by Sara Sidner on the ground in Wisconsin and Kate Bolduan live from the critical battleground state of Pennsylvania. 

Anderson Cooper will lead coverage from 10 AM-Noon, before turning things over to Wolf Blitzer and Erin Burnett from 12-4 PM ET.

At 4 PM ET, Election Night in America begins with Jake Tapper and Cooper. They’ll be joined by Burnett, Dana Bash, Audie Cornish, and Chris Wallace. John King will be at the CNN “Magic Wall” providing up to the second election results and analysis for audiences.

Meanwhile, Kaitlan Collins will anchor the network’s coverage from the Trump campaign headquarters, while Abby Phillip will be live at the Harris headquarters.

That special program is scheduled to run until 2 AM ET. At that point, Berman and Hunt will take over coverage until the following morning’s regularly scheduled programming begins.
