Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy appeared on WLW in Cincinnati on Monday for a conversation with Bill Cunningham. The discussion focused on the upcoming election, and the various issues facing Americans as they prepare for Election day on Tuesday.
Cunningham asked Ruddy how he saw things playing out should Kamala Harris win. The Newsmax CEO said we won’t likely know the winner until Wednesday or Thursday if the race is close. He added that Newsmax would accept the results if the states certify them. Confidence was lacking in the election process in 2020, but Ruddy said things appear to be much more secure this time around.
When asked what he expected should Donald Trump win, Ruddy began by telling Cunningham that many businesses in New York were preparing for riots and violence. There’s a high level of concern of what could follow if democrats lose the White House.
Though a Trump win could cause chaos on the streets, its effect on Newsmax could be a huge positive.
“Newsmax is going to do very well because President Trump has said that Newsmax is his favorite network,” shared Ruddy. “He watches it all the time, and has encouraged others to watch it. I think we’ll become one of the media leaders under Trump. I think we already are one of them, but we’ll grow even more.”
Ruddy continued by pointing out that thirty three million people watched the network in the last quarter. That represented 45% of growth from the prior quarter.
