Tim Lethlean, a familiar voice on Mix 99.1 and other Milwaukee radio stations for over two decades, has officially retired from on-air duties.
Lethlean, who has served as news director at Mix 99.1 since 2013 and has hosted multiple on-air shifts, most recently the afternoon drive-time show, concluded his time on the air on November 1.
In announcing the news on Facebook, Lethan emphasized that the decision was his.
“This is totally my decision. I’ve done two jobs, IT and radio, for 22 years now, and I have two kids in high school who will be out on their own soon. I don’t want to miss out on chances to make memories with my family.”
