NBC Sports and IMAX have announced a partnership and will bring one of the most electrifying events in college sports live to select IMAX locations nationwide. On Saturday Nov. 9, the game between the No. 6 Penn State Nittany Lions and the Washington Huskies will become the first-ever college football game presented live on IMAX.
The matchup will be the 2024 edition of the annual Penn State ‘White Out’ game. More than 105,000 fans are expected to be decked out in white and packed into the iconic stadium in University Park, Pa.
In addition to showing on IMAX screens, the Big Ten game between Penn State and Washington will also stream exclusively on Peacock kicking off at 8 p.m. ET.
Fans wanting to watch the game in IMAX are able to go to Fangango.com in order to purchase tickets. There are 23 locations around the United States which are showing the game. A complete list can be found by clicking here.
The White Out continues NBC Sports and IMAX’s growing partnership on live events and experiences. Earlier this year, NBC Sports and IMAX teamed up to stream the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony to over 100 IMAX locations nationwide — the first time the event was ever broadcast live in IMAX.
